Submission Guidelines

1. Submitted images must unequivocally confirm that you are the sole and exclusive legal owner of all rights, or that you have obtained legal permission from the rightful owner. If you are submitting an editorial and you are not the photographer, please be certain to provide us with a permission/release form from the photographer who possesses the copyright to the images.

2. Editorials for our print issues do not need to be exclusive or unpublished. We do not limit the creative freedom of artists, so non-exclusive pictures are welcome. There is no specific theme for print submissions; all styles are welcome.

3. Submissions should include a minimum of 5 to 12 images in JPEG or PNG format and 2 to 4 different looks, unless the editorial story necessitates fewer looks to convey its message. Each submission should be a cohesive fashion or portrait story with a clear theme. Editorials featuring only one look will not be accepted. Please provide a title for your editorial or story.

4. Please email a PDF or low-resolution JPG or PNG file, along with complete team credits, to info@gmaromagazine.com. Upon feature approval, all high-definition images should be supplied in high resolution at 300 dpi, without watermarks, through file-sharing platforms such as Dropbox, WeTransfer, or others. Submissions sent under a BCC will be instantly declined.

5. We will respond to your submission as soon as possible to confirm its acceptance. While we make every effort to review all incoming emails, due to the high volume of submissions we receive daily, we cannot guarantee a response if your work does not align with our criteria. Please be patient, as our editors process over 300 submissions a day. If you do not receive a response within a week, consider your submission may not fit our requirements.

6. Team credits are essential for all submissions, and we cannot accept submissions without them. We are not responsible for any missing or misspelled credits, so please double-check that all individuals involved in the submission are included and that their names are spelled correctly. Please provide the full team credits, including Instagram accounts, for the creative team involved in your shoot, such as the photographer, creative director, models, makeup artist, hair stylist, wardrobe stylist, and designers or agencies. The format for team credits should be as follows:

  • Photographer - XXXX @Instagram

  • Model - XXXX @Instagram

  • Model Agency - XXXX @Instagram

  • Creative Director - XXXX @Instagram

  • Makeup Artist - XXXX @Instagram

  • Wardrobe Stylist - XXXX @Instagram

7. GMARO Magazine reserves the right to publish the submitted work according to our magazine's aesthetic and visual language. Photos may be cropped to fit the editorial layout design, and we may add design elements as decided by the creative team. We do not provide pull or commissioning letters, and we do not guarantee the publication of all accepted materials.

8. While we consider any title suggestions you provide, we reserve the right to assign our own title to an editorial if we believe it better represents the content, if we already have an editorial with the same title, or if we have a more suitable title in mind. If you strongly prefer to keep your suggested title, please mention this when submitting.

9. We do not publish content that is explicitly hardcore pornographic, discriminatory, excessively violent, or gory in nature.

10. Due to the high volume of submissions and third-party publishing costs, we are unable to provide free print copies at this time. However, we will provide you with HD digital tear sheets of all your published work. We appreciate your trust in us.

11. If your submission is not selected for publication, it may be due to one of the following reasons: non-compliance with our guidelines, image quality or style not aligning with our magazine's standards, a lack of fit with the current issue's aesthetic or season, reaching our maximum page count for a specific issue, poor low-light photography, noisy or out-of-focus images, excessive skin editing (e.g., face waxing using automated software), low overall work quality, repeated wardrobe or poses, repeated expressions, or the presence of watermarks.

13. By submitting your work to GMARO Magazine for publication, you grant us permission to use your work in any of our publications, websites, videos, marketing materials, advertisements, and any other media or formats used in the creation, distribution, and monetization of GMARO Magazine content.

14. I consent to indemnify GMARO Magazine against any claims, demands, actions, suits, or other proceedings arising from the use of the photograph and related to any false or inaccurate statements.
