How did you start modeling? And what was your first big break in the industry?

I was a small town farm girl and did my first pageant at 18 and got discovered then!

How Do Models Stay Healthy?

Or myself I stay mentally healthy, it’s more of a holistic approach than being at the gym everyday.

Who were some of the essential people who helped you get where you are today?

My mom . Hands down. I miss her so much. Denise was a pivotal part of my life and still is. She was so supportive and instilled positivity!

What was the most memorable show you ever walked?

Miami swim week this year! Through the amount of times I was called fat, I still pushed through and made a splash.

Has your perception of the modeling industry changed over time?

It’s changed a lot since I started but there is still so much the modeling industry needs to work on. But one thing people don’t realize is models HUSTLE and work their tush off.

People think it’s all about being pretty but you need to have a good attitude, flexibility, and that hustler attitude to get far.

Describe your perfect day off when you are not modeling.

Just chilling on the couch with my dog! Enjoying life.

What is your beauty routine?

I always get facials every month to just wipe off the junk from modeling and life. I always take off my makeup and use retinol! Skin cycling is the best.

Who are some of the dream clients you’d like to work with?

Maxim, Playboy, Nike, and so many more. I love being sexy and sporty.

Do you think that what you have learned has relevance in the fashion industry of the world today?

Oh yea! Realizing people and things can change in the New York minute is pivotal to know and to always be ready and willing to accept craziness and change.

Do you think that social media has helped you with your cause?

Yes! It totally did. Once I started growing a following, I built the strength to tell my story and impact others.

I would say we live in a very strange time for fashion, especially because of the huge impact of social media. Did social media change your world?

For sure. Social media has allowed me to be my most authentic self. I’m used to the hate and the slander before social media, so for me I’m used to it. But it gives me creative opportunity to showcase all sides of myself.

What do you do to stay in shape?

Pilates, eating somewhat healthy. I try to eat what I want in moderation. Life is all about balance.

How did your interest and passion for fashion begin?

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with all things fashion. I started my own magazine at 8 and would collage all things fashion. I also would watch America’s Next Top Model religiously!

What is your go-to outfit for the daytime?

Leggings, sports bra, and J’s hands down. I like being comfy and sporty.

Name three things on your bucket list?

1. Being in a Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie.

2. Traveling to every country that has Victoria in it.

3. Diving with sharks in an exotic country.

Which three songs are you listening to on repeat at the moment?

1. Nate Smith- I found you. 2. Morgan Wallen- think you should know. 3. Dolly Parton- 9 to 5.

Which three Instagram accounts should we be following?

1. My bff who is a fashionista @alisonbowles

2. My podcast @validatedbyvictoria

3. And myself lol @victoriavesce

Do you collect anything?

I love collecting vinyl records! I would go to vintages stores during my travels and pick up the coolest ones! My favorites are a Nancy Sinatra and unopened Marvin Gaye album.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Married, happy, with kids, dogs, on a farm relaxing.

As a Model, how do you feel about being different and having your own style in a world of fast fashion?

I love it. I love vintage fashion and I have things I’ve worn since high school that I love. I’m a big believer in repurposing outfits and not consuming so much like I used to!

What is your favorite season?

Spring! I love seeing the flowers bloom and it’s my birthday season!

Who did you look up to when you were still new to modeling?

I loved Tyra Banks and her “smize”. That really inspire a lot of my facial expressions in modeling now.

Your favorite drink?

Dirty martini. Extra dirty.

If you weren’t models, what would you be?

Lawyer. I went to law school!

If you could go back to the past, is there anything you would change?

Just hang out with my mom more. Cherish the time with her. I miss her so much. She was and is my everything.

You have an impressive portfolio, what are some of your favorite brands and magazines that you’ve worked with in the past?

Sports illustrated to my local hometown magazine Raleigh magazine! I’ve been blessed to work with amazing brands.

How has your modeling career influenced your life?

Yes. I’m more confident. I know to walk in a room and know my worth. I know how to present myself in front of a crowd and be my best self.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before starting your modeling career what would it be?

Stand your ground. Be confident. Have thick skin.

Tell us and our readers a bit about yourself.

I’m a brain tumor survivor, half deaf, former NBA dancer, juris doctorate holder, model, and influencer. I grew up on a farm. Shy small town girl who grew confident and now is shining bright not only for herself but for others.
